Knife attack in Rotterdam | Ertzaintza SHIELD

On 19 September 2024, a knife attack occurred in the area of the Erasmus Bridge in the city of Rotterdam (The Netherlands).1
The assailant, a male, each carrying a knife, attacked people at random while shouting ‘Allah Akbar’. 2
As a result, one man was killed and another seriously injured.3
The assailant was de-escalated by passers-by at the scene.4
The patrols proceeded to arrest and transfer the attacker to hospital.5
