On Friday 31 May in Mannheim, Germany, a knife attack took place during the meeting of the anti-Islamic movement Bürgerbewegung Pax Europa (BPE). 1
The attack, in which several people were injured, was broadcast live on Youtube. 2
One of the victims is Michael Stürzenberger, a well-known critic of Islam. 3
According to German media, the target of the attack was Michael Stürzenberger himself, who was with leaflets at a stand with the Israeli flag and the slogan ‘Stop political Islam’. 4
The victims include a police officer who was stabbed in the neck. 5
